Data Processing Addendum

A Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is a contract supplement that governs how a vendor processes personal or matter data on a business customer's behalf. This page explains where LegalDreams currently stands on this.

Current Status

LegalDreams' core product - case management, AI drafting, and client communication - is not yet generally available, so no customer or matter data is being processed under a live DPA today. A DPA template is being prepared in draft form for eligible business (law firm and enterprise) customers, but it has not yet been through formal legal review and is not currently in binding use with any customer.

What Will Be Covered

Once finalized, LegalDreams' DPA is intended to address, at minimum: the subject matter and duration of processing, the nature and purpose of processing, categories of data and data subjects, subprocessor authorization (see our Subprocessors page), security measures, data-subject-request assistance, breach notification, and data return or deletion at the end of the relationship.

How to Request Access

Eligible business customers evaluating LegalDreams for firm-wide or enterprise deployment can request the current draft DPA as part of Priority Firm Onboarding. We will clearly label it as a draft, subject to mutual agreement, until it has been reviewed and executed.
